This week seemed to speed by and I decided it would be fun to do a quick recap of the week and link up with Kelly at This Ain’t the Lyceum for 7 Quick Takes while I put the finishing touches on a few other things I’ve been working on for the blog.
This weekend we spent so much time outside, it was amazing. Our house is back in the woods and near a bog so we get lots of mosquitoes and unfortunately can’t spend as much time outside at home as we’d like so it was nice to get out, visit some parks and go for some long walks.
V spent the day with my mom and sister and they drew this adorable picture with sidewalk chalk. V is still talking about it several days later. “Remember when I drew that family picture with chalk outside with Aunt Emmy?” So cute.
This week was V’s last week of ballet 🙁 She always acts like she loves it and she certainly loves to dance but from listening to her teacher during class, I don’t know that she’s quite ready for such a structured class. They’re teaching choreography to 2-3 year olds. Is this normal? Is the introduction to structure good for her? I have no clue. We are possibly starting preschool in the fall, two half-days a week, so we’re putting other activities on hold for now. Thoughts?
I have been having some severe rib pain this pregnancy. I finally was able to get in to see my favorite chiro so hopefully things will start turning around soon because dang it will be a long three months if this keeps up. Any tips for dealing with rib pain would be appreciated! I’m doing heat/cold, arnica and light stretching and trying not to sit too long.
On the pregnancy note, I don’t really do weekly bump photos or anything like that but since I only have three pictures from my entire pregnancy with V, I’ve tried to take a deliberate bump shot once a month or so. I’ve only taken two so clearly that hasn’t actually worked but here we are, a little over 3 months to go and feeling huge!
I have two really big things I’m working on for the blog. One is a rosary devotional that has been on my heart for some time. Look for some intro posts in the coming days. And the other is a post coming next week that includes a Beautycounter giveaway of a product perfect for expectant moms that I have been loving!
This weekend we get to celebrate the Solemnity of Pentecost! I think we’ll try this gluten-free super simple chocolate dessert pizza topped with fresh strawberries to celebrate the birthday of the Church! I don’t have anything creative to add to liturgical living so please share how you celebrate!
